FLAG MONUMENT

The Corcoran Lions Club is proud to honor our military and veterans with a dedicated monument, a symbol of our gratitude and respect for those who have served. This monument stands prominently at The Corcoran Lions Park in Corcoran, Minnesota, serving as a beacon of remembrance and appreciation. Visitors and community members are invited to view the monument during our numerous events, where we celebrate the spirit of service and sacrifice.

The unveiling of the monument took place on a memorable day, Saturday, June 3, 2023, marking a poignant moment in our community's history. The ceremony was graced by the presence of two distinguished veterans: a 97-year-old World War II veteran from New Hope, and a 90-year-old Korean War veteran from Plymouth. These honorary vets played a pivotal role in the ceremony, assisting in the raising of a new, grand United States flag, symbolizing our nation's enduring strength and unity.

We invite all to visit The Corcoran Lions Park to experience the monument firsthand, reflect on the valor of our service members, and partake in the communal spirit of honor and remembrance. This monument is more than a structure; it is a testament to the bravery, sacrifice, and the indomitable spirit of those who have served our country.

"When we honor our flag, we honor what we stand for as a Nation - freedom, equality, justice and hope."
- Ronald Reagan
